Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A collision with a large excavator causes major traffic problems at the Eastex Expressway junction at the North Loop.
Thursday back-up traffic stretched for miles after a large platform crashed on a ramp over the Eastex Expressway that leads drivers into the North Loop.
It’s unclear if anyone was injured, but a view from SkyEye showed part of the trailer tipping over in the middle of the road.
All major southbound lanes of the Eastex Expressway are closed.
At this time, it is unknown how long it will take to clear the highway.
